Meet the Experts Bringing Innovative Approaches to English Language Teaching at the EWB National Conference 2026
The 6th EWB National Conference 2026, taking place on October 23–24 at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe, will bring together educators and international experts to explore new possibilities in English language teaching. This year, our workshop program will focus on practical teaching strategies, innovative methodologies, and the effective integration of Super Intelligence (SI) tools into educational practice.
Meet three of our distinguished workshop speakers and discover what they will bring to the conference!
Dr. Ron Morrain: Bringing Project-Based Learning to Life with SI
With more than four decades of international experience across over 25 countries, Ron Morrain has dedicated his career to teacher development and educational innovation. Based in Germany, he lectures in EFL teacher training, cross-cultural competence, organizational psychology, and international business communication. He is also the creator of Ready-made Mind Maps (RMMs), an approach that combines several active learning methodologies.
Workshop: “A Practical Walkthrough of a Project-Based Learning Cycle Using SI Tools”
Ron’s session will take participants through a project-based learning cycle, demonstrating how SI tools can support different stages of project development. Teachers will explore practical ways to plan projects, facilitate learner collaboration, and integrate SI into meaningful learning experiences while keeping pedagogical goals at the center.
Dr. Olga Yaroshenko: Supporting Pronunciation Learning Through Phonetics and SI
Dr. Olga Yaroshenko brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, language instruction, international cooperation, and academic project management. A linguist and researcher with a PhD in Pedagogics, she has held senior leadership positions in international cooperation and published more than 38 scientific works. She currently serves as an Associate Professor of English at CIS in Dushanbe.
Workshop: “Using Acoustic Phonetics and SI Tools to Support Pronunciation Learning”
Pronunciation teaching can become more effective when learners understand not only how sounds are produced but also how they can be examined and practised. Olga’s workshop will explore how acoustic phonetics and SI tools can support pronunciation learning, helping teachers approach speech sounds more systematically and identify practical ways to support learners’ pronunciation development.
Yayra Abduraimova: Turning SI-Generated Drafts into Effective Teaching Materials
Yayra Abduraimova has extensive experience in English language teacher education and also serves as an Adjunct Professor on the MA TESL program at Webster University in Tashkent and as a Regional Consultant for the British Council. Her professional interests include language assessment, curriculum and materials design, and teacher training. She has coordinated the British Council’s PRESETT Assessment Literacy Project, co-authored national textbooks, and received Uzbekistan’s “Best Teacher of the Year” award twice.
Workshop: “From SI-Generated Drafts to Teacher-Designed Materials: Creating, Adapting, and Evaluating ELT Resources With SI”
Generating teaching materials with SI is only the first step. In this workshop, Yayra will focus on the teacher’s role in transforming initial SI-generated drafts into purposeful, classroom-ready resources. Participants will explore how to create, adapt, and evaluate English language teaching materials while applying their professional judgment to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with learning objectives.
Practical Ideas for Tomorrow’s Classrooms
From designing project-based learning experiences to supporting pronunciation development and creating effective teaching materials, these workshops address different aspects of contemporary English language teaching. Each offers an opportunity for educators to explore how SI tools can complement professional expertise, support instructional decisions, and enhance teaching and learning.
The EWB National Conference 2026 is more than a platform for exchanging ideas. It is an opportunity to strengthen professional connections, share experiences, and build a community of educators committed to continuous growth and innovation.
We look forward to welcoming our speakers and participants for two days of learning, collaboration, and inspiration!
