Meet the Experts Bringing SI-Powered Innovation to English Language Teaching at the EWB National Conference 2026
The 6th EWB National Conference 2026, taking place on October 23–24 at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe, will bring together educators and international experts to explore innovative approaches to English language teaching. Through practical workshops, participants will discover how Super Intelligence (SI) tools can support critical thinking, strengthen intercultural communication, and help teachers create meaningful learning experiences.
Meet three of our distinguished workshop speakers and discover what they will bring to the conference!
Balzhan Bektemirova: Connecting SI, Virtual Exchange, and Critical Thinking
With over 12 years of experience in English language teaching and teacher education, Balzhan Bektemirova is passionate about critical thinking, intercultural communication, and virtual exchange. A recipient of the Bolashak International Scholarship, she completed a professional internship at The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), USA. For the second consecutive academic year, she has participated in Penn State’s EDGE virtual exchange project, fostering collaboration between students in Kazakhstan and the United States.
Workshop: “Smart Tools, Real Connections: Using SI and Virtual Exchange to Foster Critical Thinking and Intercultural Communication”
How can technology help learners think more critically and connect meaningfully with people from different cultural backgrounds? Balzhan’s workshop will explore the potential of combining SI tools with virtual exchange to create opportunities for collaboration, reflection, and intercultural learning. Participants will consider how digital tools can support international interaction while keeping meaningful communication and critical thinking at the heart of the learning process.
Gulnura Tukeshova: Bringing SI Tools into Everyday Teaching
Gulnura Tukeshova is an experienced English language teacher with eight years of teaching experience. She holds an MA in Teaching from the American University of Central Asia and a TESOL certification from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. An alumna of FLEX, JICA, ERASMUS, and other U.S. Government-sponsored exchange programs, she has also implemented social projects focused on inclusive education.
Workshop: “Integrating SI Tools Into English Language Teaching: Practical Classroom Applications”
Integrating new technologies into teaching is most effective when it addresses real classroom needs. Gulnura’s workshop will focus on practical applications of SI tools in English language teaching, exploring how teachers can incorporate them into their instructional practice. Participants will consider ways to use SI to support lesson preparation, classroom activities, and learner engagement while maintaining clear learning objectives and the teacher’s central role in the educational process.
Nasiba Rakhimova: Making SI-Generated Materials Work for Local Learners
Nasiba Rakhimova is a lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature at Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute and co-founder of Level Up Academy. She holds an MA in TESOL from Sogang University in South Korea and is an alumna of the 2026 U.S. UBL Fellowship. Her professional interests include language teacher development, learner-centered teaching, and the integration of technology into English language education.
Workshop: “Adapting SI-Generated English Language Teaching Materials to Local Learners and Contexts”
SI tools can help teachers generate teaching materials quickly, but effective resources must also reflect learners’ needs, language proficiency, cultural backgrounds, and classroom realities. In this workshop, Nasiba will explore the importance of adapting SI-generated materials to local educational contexts. Participants will consider how teachers can apply their professional judgment to make resources more relevant, appropriate, and engaging for their learners.
From Innovative Tools to Meaningful Learning
These three workshops highlight different but complementary dimensions of SI integration in English language teaching: fostering critical thinking and intercultural communication, applying new tools in everyday classroom practice, and adapting generated materials to meet local needs.
Together, they offer educators an opportunity to reflect on how technology can support—not replace—professional expertise, thoughtful instructional design, and meaningful connections between learners.
The EWB National Conference 2026 is a space for educators to exchange ideas, strengthen professional networks, and explore practical approaches they can bring into their own classrooms.
We look forward to welcoming our speakers and participants for two days of learning, collaboration, and inspiration!
