EWB Master Workshops
EWB Master Workshops Grant is an opportunity to receive an up to 500$ grant to conduct professional development workshops for diverse groups of English language teaching professionals in all regions of Tajikistan. For many young English teachers participating in EWB Master Workshops is the first-time experience engaging with peers and collaborating through the EWB network to support English teaching in their communities.
The Workshops should be conducted on the following themes:
- Competency-based education: what it is and how to implement it in the English classroom
- Digital literacy and online resources: how to use technology to enhance English teaching and learning
- Primary education: how to develop language skills and cognitive abilities in young learners
- Assessment
- How to monitor and provide feedback on learners’ homework, progress, and performance
- Assessment & grading in the differentiated classroom
- Inclusive education: how to address the diverse needs and abilities of learners in the English classroom
- Learner autonomy: how to foster learners’ independence and responsibility for their learning
- Lesson planning: how to design and deliver effective and engaging lessons that meet the objectives and outcomes of the curriculum
- Motivation and engagement: how to stimulate and sustain learners’ interest and participation in the English classroom
- Reflective teaching: how to evaluate and improve one’s own teaching practice and professional development
- Teacher well-being: how to cope with the challenges and stress of teaching and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle
Who is Eligible?
- EWB members (if you have not registered for the English Without Borders Network yet, please go to www.ewb.tj)
- English language teachers (at least with 50% teaching workload) who are currently working in secondary school, university, or private educational institutions in Tajikistan
- Applicants must have prior teacher training experience
- Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience.
- English language teachers from remote areas of Tajikistan are encouraged to apply.
Submission Requirements
The (a) Training Proposal Narrative and the (b) Training Budget Summary make up the complete training proposal package.
