EWB Master Workshops Grant Application
The EWB Master Workshops Grant offers an opportunity for English language teachers across Tajikistan to receive up to $500 to conduct professional development workshops. These workshops are designed to enhance teaching practices and improve learning outcomes for English learners.
Workshop Themes
Proposals are invited on the following themes:
- Competency-Based Education: Understanding and implementing competency-based approaches in the English classroom.
- Digital Literacy and Online Resources: Leveraging technology to enhance English teaching and learning.
- Primary Education: Developing language skills and cognitive abilities in young learners.
- Assessment: Monitoring and providing feedback on learners’ homework, progress, and performance.
- Assessment & Grading in the Differentiated Classroom: Strategies for effective assessment and grading in diverse classrooms.
- Inclusive Education: Addressing the diverse needs and abilities of learners in the English classroom.
- Learner Autonomy: Fostering independence and responsibility among learners for their own learning.
- Effective Utilization of New English Language Textbooks for Grades 10 and 11 in Tajikistan Secondary Schools: Designing and delivering engaging lessons that align with the objectives and outcomes of the textbooks.
- Motivation and Engagement: Stimulating and sustaining learner interest and participation in the English classroom.
- Reflective Teaching: Evaluating and improving one’s own teaching practice and professional development.
- Teacher Well-Being: Managing the challenges and stress of teaching while maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered member of EWB (If you are not yet registered, please visit www.ewb.tj).
- Be an English language teacher currently employed in a secondary school, university, or private educational institution in Tajikistan, with at least a 50% teaching workload.
- Have prior experience in teacher training.
- Hold a minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience.
- English language teachers from remote areas of Tajikistan are particularly encouraged to apply.
Application Process
The application consists of two stages:
- Document Submission: Submit a complete training proposal package, which includes:
- Training Proposal Narrative
- Training Budget Summary
- Online Interview: Selected candidates will be invited for an online interview to discuss their proposals and qualifications further.

I am a happy teacher , because I am a member of the English Without Borders Network. I proudly say that by supporting this platform I have improved my speaking ,listening,and writing skills,which whithout of having these skills we can’t be fluently in EL. Therefore every English teacher need to have 4 skills and need to pay attention about self-regulated-learning, Now I can say that the EWB Network website is very useful and nessessary for English teachers . I have been using from this website for 3 years . Of course there are majority helpful resourses for teaching EL for every levels.
