This prestigious award honors English teachers in Tajikistan who are making a difference in their classrooms. Past winners, Muyassar Muzofirov (2021) from Khorugh, GBAO, Marhabo Kholmurodova (2022) from Khorugh, GBAO and Sarvinoz Komilova (2023) from Bokhtar, Khatlon region, all exemplified the power of innovative teaching. Muzofirov used music and musical instruments to bring English to life, while Kholmurodova showed us how to effectively teach environmental literacy through English. Most recently, Komilova demonstrated how social media and AI tools can be used to create a more engaging learning experience.
If you are an English teacher with at least three years of experience who is currently teaching in Tajikistan, we encourage you to apply! Winners receive a smartphone, a certificate, a chance to speak at a conference, and honorary membership in the EWB Network.
