📣 We are excited to host the next series of EWB Chai Talk with Abdusalom Mamadnazarov, a Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor; linguist, lexicographer, translator.

Pr. Abdusalom Mamadnazarov is an author of 25 monographs, books, dictionaries (including the largest ever published English-Tajik dictionary), textbooks for universities, 140 scientific articles, including articles published abroad, and speeches at 15 symposiums and conferences in the US, Canada, the Netherland, GB, and other countries; has translated and published more than 20 popular scientific and historical works into Tajik and English 📚.

Started his career in 1972, Pr. Mamadnazarov worked as a teacher and Associate Professor at Tajik National University (TNU), a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada), a co-secretary of the joint committee of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Aga Khan Development Network for the establishment of an International Innovative University in Central Asia, where he has contributed a lot to the preparation of the proposals for the establishment of the UCA; has huge experience working for international organizations as IREX, FOCUS, and Urban Institute Tajikistan.

From 2014 up to now, Abdusalom Mamadnazarov is a Professor of the Department of English Language and Comparative Typology at TNU.

Defended his Ph.D. thesis at Tbilisi State University in 1986; in 2013 defended his doctoral dissertation at TNU.
During his professional career, Pr. Mamadnazarov received several awards and titles, and the latest one is Honored Worker of the Republic of Tajikistan (2021) 🎖.
