DESCRIPTION:📣 We are excited to host the next series of EWB Chai Talk with Zulaikho Usmanova a Senior Research Scholar at the Institute of Philosophy\, Political Science and Law\, National Academy of Science of Tajikistan. She pursues her academic career\, writes articles\, prepares her book for publication\, and closely works with young Ph.D. scholars. Her doctoral dissertation titled “Gender Dimension of Modern and Traditional Tajik Culture” focused on gender aspects of Tajik culture and explored the issue of gender roles\, expectations\, stereotypes\, as they are reflected in Tajik culture. Several years ago she visited the United States as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar and conducted a study titled “Anthropology of Gender: Case of Tajikistan” with Western Michigan University. Zulaikho recently implemented an educational project\, “Academic literacy course for young Tajik scholars” supported by the US Embassy Dushanbe.
